Toby is a Singleton puppy from Lux, born in March 2025. Toby is special to us in many ways. But he is the only son of Lux and our only Peter grandson. Being born a month after tragically and suddenly loosing Peter, Toby has helped to heal our heart. Toby is very much his grandfather in personality. Goofy and sweet, we never stop laughing when he is around!

Toby made his show ring debut at the Wisconsin Beagle Club specialty show in conjuntion with the National in August 2025 at 5.5 months old. When Lindsay the breeder/owner of his sire asked if she could show him, we didn't hesitate to say yes. It was a good idea as Toby was awarded Best Beginner Puppy In Specialty Show by breeder-judge Julie Lux. Toby turned heads by both domestic and foreign breeders at this show. We received offers for him to travel overseas to Sweden and Poland. We decided as a family to bring him home with us and not send us abroad, as Cael wanted some time with him. I am not the only one affected by loosing Peter, and I don't make all the decisions myself.

From the time Toby was very young, he was a big boy. In fact his puppy nickname was Walrus. Unfortunately we were right when we feared he may go oversize. This is the reason we considered sending him overseas. He is about 15 1/4 inches tall and they have to be 15" or under to show in America. We have not completely ruled out sending him where they can be over 15" and show, but currently being the only Lux puppy we have, he's hanging out here to see if maybe as he matures, he'll go under.

At the moment, he's not at public stud, but as he approaches 2, and finishes his health testing, he will be. Despite his height, we feel his gorgeous and correct front have so much to offer the breed. In July 2025, his first litter of pups is due to be born at Allegro Beagles in California.
