About The Parents

Ch. Meadow Crest's Blue My Mind

DOB: February 9,  2021

Breeder/Owner: Annette Didier, Ft. Wayne, In

Meadow Crest Beagles

Sire: GCh Ch. Timberlost Aces R Wild, "Ace"

Dam: GChB Ch. Meadow Crest Diamonds In The Sky, "Diamond"

CHIC #: 192260

I first met Chevy at 5 days old when we removed dewclaws on the litter. At 8 weeks, I went down to Annette's house and photographed the puppies (see pic to the left) and fell in love with Chevy. Since then, I have been one of his biggest fans. No dog is structurally perfect but I just can't ignore his beautiful face, his bone, and his flawless neck to shoulder transition.

Chevy is a sweet, sweet boy. He absolutely loves his human mom, Annette and his "girls". Annette's neighbor girls have been with Chevy since birth and he has made them part of his pack. Chevy never really loved the show ring, much preferring the comforts of home. I can't really blame him there, I do too!

I've been waiting patiently for the right special girl to breed to Chevy, and I can not be more excited!

GCh Ch. Coldwater Northern Lights And Southern Comfort

DOB: May 21, 2021

Breeders: Erin Fischer-Hill, Brooke Beck, Shelley Crovetto

Owners: Erin Fischer-Hill, Cael Fischer, Tim Hill

Sire: GChB Ch. Coldwater I Want You Back, "Peter"

Dam: GChB Ch. Starrinite New Light At Coldwater, "Lucy"

The minute I laid eyes on Lux at 2 weeks old, I knew she was going to be my girl. In her mother's previous two litters, I had not taken a puppy to live with me as both Brooke and Shelley had, and from the get go, I knew this girl was going to be special. I just had no clue how special.

Lux was a fantastic show dog, and is a great mama dog as well. But where she really excels is being my best friend and the ultimate house dog. Her nickname is "Princess Perfect" because she really is both perfect and a princess. I just could not have asked for a better dog.

Her single puppy from her first "litter", Toby has the same sweet personality as his mama, so I really can not wait to see what she gives us this time!

About The Pairing

Planning pairings are both wonderful and painful all at the same time. My early mentors taught me to not only look and plan for this generation but one or two generations further when designing potential pairings. Every single breeding is done with a vision in mind of what a "perfect" blend of genetics would give us.

What I hope (and anticipate) this litter will give us

  • Wonderful Pets - both Chevy and Lux are the epitome of perfect home companions for both adults and children.

  • Correct Structure- both Annette (Chevy's breeder) and I have focused our breeding programs and correct fronts, correct rears, balance and the ability of our Beagles to MOVE! To last all day long and do it again tomorrow.

  • Beautiful type- Beagles that look unapolagetically like Beagles

  • Healthy Puppies - both parents are genetically and medically sound

About The Pedigree

We are and have been a big proponent of focusing on breeding genotypically. We find that focusing on what the genes and science tell us help us with our goal- to create a happy, healthy, structurally sound Beagles. We spend hours upon hours researching pedigrees and dogs within those pedigrees. First we look at the names themselves listed, then offspring, cousins, aunts, uncles as far back as we go gathering as much information as possible. First we look at the structure of the dogs, then we look at the health of the dogs and then we deep dive into their personalities if they are high drive or easy going. We consider all the positives and negatives for each dog.

I often take years to look into various dogs. Sometimes I disregard them for one reason or another and then circle back.

I did this specific breeding because not only do I love both Chevy and Lux, behind each of them are some of my all time favorite females. I find in breeding that if you have a strong maternal foundation, you will get strong puppies across the board.

Chevy's mother Diamond is one of my all time favorite Beagle females. I find her truly stunning. As well as Lux's grandmother Latte. Diamond's grandfather and Latte's father is none other than the iconic "Trey" BIS BISS GCh Ch Shadynook McDreamy At RK n' Tooker,  a dog that I have chosen to make a cornerstone of my breeding program. Not only for himself, but because his litter sister Pheonix is another of my all time favorite females.

In this pedigree you will find beautiful maternal lines, that would give any breeder a strong foundation to move forward with.  Below are a few of my favorite females in this pedigree.

Ch. Shadynook You Lite Up My Life "Pheonix"

Ch. Belward N Sureluv Bring It On "Paisley"

Ch. Timberlost Dolly D Lite "Dolly"

Ch. K-Run's Raise Your Glass "Pink"

Ch. Melody's Special Blend At Stardust "Latte"

Ch. Starrinite New Light At Coldwater "Lucy"

Ch. Meadow Crest's Diamond In The Sky "Diamond"

Ch. Daragoj Chelsea "Chelsea"

Ch. Timberlost Meadow Crest Tianna "Tia"

Ch. Briarhill Annie Oakley "Annie"

Ch. Echo Run Shalimar "Pooty"
