This may be one of the hardest litter descriptions that I've had to write. As a breeder I learned so very much, unfortunately most of it was at "Candy's" expense. When I decided it was the right time in my life to get back into showing and breeding, I purchased Candy's mom Story. Story came from a breeder than was rumored to be difficult to work with, but I always try to make my own decisions about things and people. Unfortunately the rumors were true and I was found to be in a difficult situation. Part of my contract for Story was that her breeder got second pick puppy from her first litter and first pick puppy from her second. So she took "Ginny" from the first litter (who has her own sad story with a happy ending) and as a Singleton, Candy from this 'litter'. Candy was handed over to transport her to her new home at 9 weeks old and I haven't seen her since. I followed her brief show career and then for about 2 years had no idea where she was. Then a fellow breeder asked me about her and said she had her! I was so relieved. And in the end, Candy found a home with a wonderful lady who does Therapy work with her. She's fast approaching her 50th visit. I am so happy to be apart of her life again, and the lessons learned through her will never be repeated!
