Her Story

"Betty" got her call name because Brooke had always wanted a female Beagle called Betty. She was the lone female in a litter with 5 brothers from our Case X Lucy litter. How lucky for us that she was also pick of the litter! Betty's show career wasn't quite what we had planned. Her first shows were in Indianapolis in Feb 2020, when she was not even 7 months old. She earned 6 points and a major and a bred by group 2 that weekend. Little did we know in a month that the world would shut down. After life semi resumed to normal- Betty finished fairly easily with a class placement at the 2020 NBC National Specialty, a 15" Best in Sweepstakes and Sweepstakes Group 3 at the 2020 Michigan Hound Association show, and a 5 point major to finish at the Cumberland Valley Hound Association specialty show in October of 2021 under Breeder judge Barbara Scherer (Tooker Beagles).

In January 2023 Betty gave us our first "Rainbow" Litter sired by Mackey. A rainbow litter consists of 3/4 of the comonly recognized Beagle colors (blue tri, bi color and black tri- what was missing was chocolate tri). We kept our beautiful girl "Putter".

In March 2024 it was decided to actively retire Betty from our breeding program. But Betty hit the Beagle Jackpot. She now lives with another Beagle named Brian and her own girl Baylee who is going to shown her in Juntior Showmanship. We can't wait to see this team in action!
